Going Open Source for 2 Years and Won’t Go Back

Time goes by, when I remembered that it has been 2 years this month that I use Open Office for my works. Back then I used Open Office and MS Office paralel. I think it was 60% Open Office and 40% Ms Office. But now is 75% Open Office and 25% Ms Office. I once had Star Office installed in my laptop. But I couldn’t stand of the lame speed of it. It is far less with Open Office. Although I still feel that Ms Office is faster. Or is it just my lame laptop. 🙂

Research interest: Hydrochemistry, multivariate analysis, and R programming My current focus is how to provide the hydrostratigraphy of volcanic aquifers in Bandung area. The research is based on environmental isotope measurement in groundwater and morphometry. My work consists of hydrochemical measurements. I am using multivariate statistical methods to provides more quantitative foundation for the analysis and more insight into the groundwater behaviour.
